Aston Villa has exercised its right to recall Lewis Dobin from his loan with West Bromwich Albion. He was then sent immediately on loan to Norwich City.
The former Evertonian struggled to impress while on loan at the Baggies playing just 398 minutes in all competitions.
Villa signed the winger from Everton in the summer for a fee believed to be around £ 9 million. It is unclear what Villa’s long-term plans are for the 22-year-old, with some believing the deal was done to get around an FFP loophole, with Tim Iroegbunam going the other direction for a similar fee.
Dobbin spent last season on loan in League 1 with Derby County where he made 54 appearances in all competitions but the verdict is still out on whether he can make the step up to the Championship.
Best of luck, Lewis!
