And Lewis-Potter explained why he wanted to commit his future to the west Londoners for the foreseeable future.
"It feels amazing to sign this new deal. I'm thankful to get it done and I can't wait for the future," said Lewis-Potter.
"It's such a great club. Since I've joined, they've been so good with me. I also feel like I've developed so much, especially this season. The togetherness everyone has got... it's such a good club to be at.
"This season, I've been playing at left-back, which is something a bit different for me, but I've been excited about it and really enjoying playing every week.
"When it comes to Thomas [Frank], he is so good, especially one-to-one with players, which he's done with me a lot this season. He talks to me every day in training, helps me improve, and he's got full confidence in me - as a player, that's what I want."

Lewis-Potter also discussed his goals between now and the expiration of his contract in 2031, detailing what he wants to achieve on a personal level but also with the Bees.
He stated: "I want to just help the team as much as I can. I obviously want to get on the scoresheet more, get more assists and create more chances for my team-mates.
"But, at the same time, if it's in defence, it's about keeping clean sheets, helping the team get as many wins as possible, and, hopefully, climbing the table."
Looking even further into the future, he added: "Hopefully I can win the Premier League with Brentford!
"Year on year, I just want to keep on building because, with the squad we've got, we can reach new heights, definitely."
