Game of the week: Paris Saint-Germain v AS Monaco, Friday 20:05 (UK)

PSG are currently on course for a whole season unbeaten domestically! With their key players in hot form, it is so difficult to bet against them at this moment in time. Ousmane Dembélé has netted hat-tricks in back-to-back games, Gonçalo Ramos netted a late brace against Brest, and João Neves is once again pulling the strings in midfield. Add to that the newly recruited X-factor in the form of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and it is a frightening prospect for any club, even Monaco, certainly one of the best sides in the division. That element of fear is only heightened by Adi Hütter admitting concern about the defensive balance of his side. Les Parisiens have scored 23 goals in eight games in all competitions since the start of 2025, whilst Monaco are looking increasingly open. They conceded three against Inter Milan last week and a further two against Auxerre, who ahead of their trip to the Principality, had been struggling to log goals.

PSG are not solid defensively either and their last clean sheet actually came against Monaco in the Trophée des Champions at the start of January. Goals, therefore, seem a guarantee. Just how they will be shared is another question, although, given their current form, it is difficult to see PSG losing at home. It was a chaotic game at the Stade Louis II in December as PSG came out 4-2 winners thanks to two late goals and an element of chaos can be expected again. Despite Luis Enrique’s desire to control games, there have been some wild scorelines for PSG in 2025, including a 5-2 win over Brest last weekend.
