Lille winger Edon Zhegrova set for lengthy injury absence | OneFootball

L’Équipe reports that Edon Zhegrova (25) will not be available for up to six weeks because of a pubis issue.

Zhegrova reportedly wanted to leave the French club over the summer but was convinced to stay.

Earlier this month, Sacha Tavolieri reported that Napoli were interested in acquiring his services as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23), who signed for Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month for a reported fee of €70m.

So far in Ligue 1 this season, Zhegrova has featured in 12 Ligue 1 fixtures for Lille, scoring four goals with one assist. He netted three times in four matches played during the UEFA Champions League qualification stage, enabling them to make it into the League phase of that competition.

He’s not played for Lille since mid-December in a 1-1 draw against Olympique de Marseille, with Bruno Génésio taking him off at half-time.

Lille’s asking price before his injury was reportedly €25m, with his contract due to expire in the summer of 2026.
