Sky Germany reports that Liverpool have joined Chelsea in the race for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, who looks like he will leave the club in the summer.
Talks between Ekitiké and Liverpool have already taken place, and head coach Arne Slot is said to be a big fan of the French striker. Liverpool will face competition from fellow Premier League side Chelsea, who were linked with Ekitiké earlier this week.
However, like most clubs that try to sign players from Frankfurt, this will not come cheap. die Adler will demand around €100m for the 22-year-old.
In his first full season on the banks of the Main, Ekitiké scored 22 and assisted 12 as Frankfurt qualified for the Champions League by finishing third, whilst also reaching the Europa League quarter-finals, where they lost to eventual winners Tottenham.
The 22-year-old really came into his own in the second half of the season when his strike partner Omar Marmoush departed for Manchester City.
