Meanwhile, on the international stage, he is eyeing his first appearance for the Three Lions.

But away from the football pitch, there are also exciting times on the horizon for Jones.

The midfielder and his girlfriend model and influencer Saffie Kahn announced they would be expecting a baby girl in an adorable Instagram video back in May.

Captioned ‘To our...’ the couple posted a montage of images of baby scans as well as videos of themselves dancing excitedly around their house, embracing and expressing the joy of welcoming their first child together. Also contained in the social media post were images of Jones and Saffie on holiday together in Paris, as well as a positive pregnancy test kit.

Baby due any day now

Throughout her pregnancy, Saffie has been updating her 69,000 Instagram followers throughout her pregnancy. Her latest post captioned: "Ready for my autumn baby" suggests that their daughter could come any day now.

The update was liked by thousands of people, including Fedrico Chiesa's wife Lucia Bramani. She also shared another post earlier in the week captioned "October we have been waiting for you" further confirming she is due this month.

However the couple will be hoping that their baby will be waiting for her dad to be home before making her appearance.

Jones is currently away with the England team after receiving a late call-up following injuries to Ezri Konsa, Kobbie Mainoo and Morgan Gibbs-White for their fixtures against Greece before a trip to Finland on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has made six appearances so far this season under new head coach Arne Slot. He started his first game of the campaign last weekend in Liverpool's 1-0 win against Crystal Palace.
