Liverpool’s asking price for a Middlesbrough target Tyler Morton has been deemed too much for the Championship side to consider.
Boro are showing real intent to make a hard push for a top-six finish in the Championship with their winter window business.
They have already signed the likes of Ryan Giles, Morgan Whittaker, Mark Travers and Samuel Iling-Junior in this window.
Sevilla frontman Kelechi Iheanacho is also closing in on joining them, but they hold interest in more players.
Liverpool midfielder Morton is a player they admire and Reds young attacker Ben Doak is on loan at Boro as well.
Middlesbrough are claimed to have lodged a bid for Morton.
However, according to the Northern Echo, the Premier League giants are asking too much for Boro to consider making a move for him.
Arne Slot has barely used him this season and has not given him any minutes in the Premier League, the midfielder is keen for regular action.
