Arne Slot set to restore big names after FA Cup shock
Liverpool head into the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park with some injury concerns.
Arne Slot’s side head to Everton on Wednesday night and while they do sit at the top of the Premier League table, the Reds were dealt a setback on Sunday.
Indeed, Liverpool lost 1-0 to Plymouth in the FA Cup fourth round at Home Park, a result which surely stands out as one of the most surprising in the competition’s recent history.
While Slot is no doubt expected to restore all of the big names who missed Sunday’s game, there are injury problems to consider.
Trent Alexander-Arnold missed the Plymouth game due to an injury sustained against Bournemouth and remains a doubt at this stage.
Joe Gomez came off injured on Sunday and may also miss this game, while Curtis Jones was feeling a slight knock and did not get on the pitch.

Still, Liverpool will be able to call upon most of their regulars as they look to spoil the party at Goodison.
Alisson Becker, Mohamed Salah, Virgl van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are all expected to return.
Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Nunez
Doubts: Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Jones
