Lucas Gourna-Douath moves to Serie A

Transfer to AS Roma

Lucas Gourna-Douath is leaving FC Red Bull Salzburg for Serie A and AS Roma, with the 21-year-old midfielder signing a loan contract until the summer. The arrangement contains a purchase clause that will activate should certain conditions be met.

The three-time France U21 international joined our Red Bulls in the summer of 2022, and made 90 appearances for us - with two goals and five assists. He is now taking the next step to the three-time Italian champions.

After intensive and constructive discussions, we came to the conclusion together with Lucas that we should allow him to continue his development at a new club. We hope that he can show his qualities in Italy, and we wish him all the very best for the challenge!
