Lucas Hernandez Warns Liverpool About PSG’s Form Before Round of 16 | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain cruised into the Coupe de France semifinals with a dominant 7-0 win over Stade Briochin. After the match, PSG defender Lucas Hernandez shared his thoughts on the team’s form as they prepare to face Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Stade Briochin, a Championnat National 2 side, put up early resistance but conceded in the 16th minute. They held on for a while, but PSG’s attack proved too much, with Gonçalo Ramos doubling the lead before halftime.

After the break, PSG took complete control, with Désiré Doué playing a key role in the scoring surge. Ramos converted a penalty to open the second half before Doué netted in the 55th minute and set up goals for Ramos and Senny Mayulu. Ousmane Dembélé then made it 5-0 in the 66th minute as PSG kept piling on.

The Parisians are in good form, and after the Coupe de France win, Herandez spoke to beIN Sports and revealed how he’s feeling about the squad’s form heading into the crucial tie against the Reds next week.

“Yes, the group is doing very well,” Hernandez said (h/t Paris Fans). “A big match for the spectators, very interesting to watch, a real showcase of the game. We are really in a good place, in a very good moment, and everyone is involved.

“Whether playing more or less, it shows. It’s the same in training. Everyone is engaged, and we are on the right path to achieving great things.”

The first leg is set for Wednesday, March 5, with PSG hosting Liverpool at the Parc des Princes. The return match takes place on March 11, when PSG head to Anfield.
