Man United manager Ruben Amorim is being tight-lipped about the imminent transfer of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
The attacker is set to undergo a medical after the Red Devils met the terms of the £62.5 million release clause in his Wanderers contract.
It’s believed that Man United wanted to pay the figure over a five-year period, but have agreed to pay it in three installments over two years.
Cunha will be the first signing of the club’s summer rebuild after a disappointing campaign in which they finished 15th in the Premier League table and lost the Europa League final to Spurs.
Amorim teased “changes” to the team’s squad in the transfer window, although he was careful not to give anything away about Cunha’s impending arrival.
“You have to wait for that,” the Portuguese tactician said. “It won’t confirm anything. I have no news. We will see. There will be some changes.”
Man United have also been linked with a move for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, while Marcus Rashford, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho are also expected to depart Old Trafford this summer.
