Manchester United are among a list of top English clubs monitoring Jamal Musiala’s contract situation at Bayern Munich.

The 21-year-old German international has broken out as one of the top young talents in world football and become a star for both club and country in recent years.

Musiala shared the crown as top scorer in the Euro championships with five other players as he scored three goals in the competition for Germany.

He has also started off this season in fine form for Vincent Kompany’s side as he has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 11 games this campaign.

Naturally, his talent has caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs in Europe and much like Alphonso Davies, contract issues at the Allianz Arena have given clubs a sniff he may be available in the not so distant future.

CaughtOffside report that “Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are among the clubs monitoring the situation of Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala as he approaches the final year of his contract.”

“Although Bayern will try hard to keep Musiala, they are under pressure to tie him down to a new deal as soon as possible, or else there is the serious risk that they’ll have to sell him for below market value in summer 2025.”

Failure to sell the youngster could see him leave the Allianz Arena on a free transfer in 2026, which would be disastrous for the Bavarian club.

CaughtOffside understands that Manchester City “have the strongest interest in Musiala at the moment”, but his contract issues have alerted other big sides in England, including United.

Musiala has been linked to a move to Old Trafford before as he was linked to a sensational €120 million move to Old Trafford last April, but nothing came of the rumours.

The young German would certainly fit the bill of United bringing in top youngsters to take their team to the next level.

Nonetheless, with the side currently sitting in 14th position in the league table, even with an expected improvement under Ruben Amorim, it will be an incredibly tough ask to compete with the likes of Liverpool and City for the starlet. Nonetheless, it would not be the first time United have fended off their higher ranked local rivals to recruit top talent.
