Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has vital decisions to make before choosing his starting lineup against Bournemouth.

At this stage of the season, the Red Devils have little to play for in the Premier League, as they currently lie in a horrific 15th place. Nevertheless, the contest at the Vitality represents the final dress rehearsal before the first of two Europa League semi-final clashes against Athletic Bilbao.

Hence, Amorim is probably torn between fielding his strongest lineup (or at least something resembling it), or giving his key players another day off to avoid injuries and exhaustion.

At this stage, most observers believe the Portuguese is leaning towards the first option, as his stars must gear up for the bigger battle, especially with several of them sitting out in the previous contest against Wolves.

Andre Onana is expected to start in goal as usual, while Noussair Mazraoui joins Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro in the three-man backline. The English veteran and the French teenager certainly need some minutes in their legs after starting on the bench last time out.

With Diogo Dalot possibly ruled out for the remainder of the season, Patrick Dorgu could be converted to the right wingback role, thus giving Harry Amass the opportunity to make his third straight start in the Premier League on the left flank.

The 18-year-old has now cemented himself as one of the most ‘exciting prospects at the club, and he hasn’t done anything to harm his chances of gaining more first-team opportunities.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte should add some physicality to the middle of the park, while Bruno Fernandes could feature in a more advanced role alongside Alejandro Garnacho who was one of the team’s few bright spots against Wolves, unlike Rasmus Hojlund who failed to impress, but he’ll get the nod all the same.
