But despite being armoured with a long-term deal, some of the biggest clubs in Europe remain keen to snatch his signature, considering him a clever investment for the future based on his great promise.

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Man Utd have sent their scouts to watch Mouzakitis in action. But as the transfer market reveals, the Red Devils aren’t the only Premier League sides following the teenager, as Arsenal and Aston Villa have done likewise.

“Manchester United, Arsenal and Aston Villa scouts are following the development of Olympiakos midfielder Christos Mouzakitis,” posted Konur on his X account.

This season, the youngster has scored three goals and provided three assists for his teammates in his 28 appearances across all competitions.

Nevertheless, his most memorable contribution was a last-minute winner over arch-rivals Panathinaikos in the quarter-final of the Greek Cup. This strike, which was described as a thunderbolt, was the solitary goal in the second-leg contest, and it secured the red and white side a 2-1 victory on aggregate.

This will certainly be a memory the teenager will cherish for the rest of his days, as it cemented him as an instant hero amongst Olympiakos supporters.

Therefore, it remains to be seen if Man Utd will decide to launch an attempt to sign the young midfielder in the summer. They could definitely need a few fresh faces in the middle of the park, especially with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen expected to depart next summer.
