Negotiations between Manchester City and Milan for Tijjani Reijnders are still ongoing but the Premier League side’s confidence in reaching an agreement is growing, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

In the coming weeks, Manchester City believe they can find an agreement for a deal around €65m to sign the Dutch midfielder, who has scored 10 and provided five assists in 37 Serie A games for Milan this season. Pep Guardiola wants the player for the upcoming Club World Cup, and Reijnders is expecting the two clubs to reach an agreement to complete the move.

According to Daniele Longo, there’s already an agreement between Reijnders and Manchester City. The Dutchman would earn a reported €7m salary, almost double what he currently earns.

Manchester City’s opening offer of €60m including bonuses was rejected by Milan, who are holding out for a fee closer to €75m, but City believe they can sign their player for less.
