Manchester United welcome a relegation-threatened Ipswich Town to Old Trafford this evening.
A spirited second-half display from the Red Devils helped them salvage a point away to Everton on Saturday.
Ruben Amorim had no fresh injury news to report in his post-match press conference. Midfielders Toby Collyer and Kobbie Mainoo are imminently close to returns, though Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo are out for the remainder of the season. The injury-plagued trio of Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans and Mason Mount are still unavailable.
For Ipswich, a promising start came to no avail as they were overwhelmed 4-1 by Tottenham in Suffolk. The negative news continues for Kieran McKenna, who could be without midfield pivot Jens Cajuste and Kalvin Phillips.
Both players exited the field with injuries a few days ago and assessments will be made to determine the severity. However, Axel Tuanzebe is available to face his boyhood club after serving a one-match suspension against Spurs. Conor Chaplin was able to participate in training, while Julio Enciso has been working with a physiotherapist for his knee injury.

A resurgence in the second half saw United rescue a 2-2 draw against Everton. It was a nightmare start to Ruben Amorim’s side, who were two goals down inside 33 minutes after a feeble performance.
However, their comeback came courtesy of two moments of individual brilliance. Captain Bruno Fernandes scored directly from a free-kick before Manuel Ugarte volleyed home his first goal for the Red Devils.
A point left Manchester United in 15th position and below last weekend’s opponents.
Their home points return in recent weeks is rather dishonourable. In their last six league games at Old Trafford, Amorim’s side have won once. And in that match, they had to come from behind to beat bottom-of-the-table Southampton.
Like Ipswich, United are also in FA Cup action on the weekend. The red half of Manchester welcome Fulham to the Theatre of Dreams.

Wolves’ win at Bournemouth at the weekend leaves Ipswich five points adrift of safety.
The Tractor Boys lacked a cutting edge against Tottenham on Saturday and were punished in clinical fashion.
They conceded four at home for the third time this campaign, with Newcastle also netting four and Manchester City hitting them for six.
Kieran McKenna’s side are still searching for their first league victory of the calendar year. In 2025, they have lost five out of seven matches.
However, cup progress has offered some solace. Ipswich have an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Nottingham Forest to look forward to next Monday.
Ruben Amorim had to settle for a point in his first game in charge of Manchester United.
The Portuguese manager could not have wished for a better start to his tenure as Marcus Rashford scored inside two minutes. Amad carried the ball over 40 yards down the right flank before picking out Rashford who nicked in front of Arijanet Muric to score.
United’s reaction to the opening goal was complacent which allowed Ipswich back into the contest. Sammie Szmodics forced Andre Onana into action from distance before the goalkeeper made a stunning save. From point-blank range, Liam Delap’s blasted effort was bravely smothered by the Cameroonian.
The Tractor Boys’ efforts were rewarded just before the interval when Omari Hutchinson levelled the score. The equaliser did have an element of fortune about it. The shot deflected off the head of Noussair Mazraoui and soared out of the reach of Onana.
Both sides had chances after the break, but the winner proved elusive for the two teams. Onana’s nimble reactions denied Delap once again. On this occasion, the striker had audaciously flicked the ball goalward, but the foot of the goalkeeper was equal to it.
Alejandro Garnacho was United’s biggest threat in the second period and only a crucial intervention from Jens Cajuste prevented him from teeing up Rashford. Referee Anthony Taylor blew the final whistle and the spoils were shared at Portman Road.
Manchester United: Onana; Dalot, Yoro, Maguire, De Ligt, Dorgu; Eriksen, Ugarte; Fernandes, Zirkzee, Garnacho.
Ipswich: Palmer, Johnson, Johnson, O’Shea, Greaves, Davis; Morsy, Taylor; Philogene-Bidace, Szmodics, Hutchinson, Delap.
Darren England will be the match official. Neil Davies and Akil Howson will assist him while Sam Barrott will be the fourth official. The VAR will be Craig Pawson and he will be assisted by Adam Nunn.
