According to Florian Plettenberg, Premier League clubs have identified Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel (19) as a potential loan move in the January transfer window. The Bundesliga giants are open to a potential loan move for the French striker in the winter window.

Premier League clubs are not the only teams to identify the France youth international as a potential loan target. Within the Bundesliga, Werder Bremen have identified Tel as an option for a temporary move. However, the German club are yet to make a concrete approach and are monitoring the situation ahead of the window reopening mid-season.

Reluctant to leave

Despite Bayern Munich’s willingness to let the striker leave on loan, the former Rennes forward is reluctant to leave Bavaria and wants to stay at the club. The 19-year-old has struggled for opportunities since the arrival of Vincent Kompany in Munich – only managing 224 minutes thus far this season. The forward was linked with a loan move to Manchester United in the summer.
