Milan are planning a strategy to secure João Félix’s permanent transfer from Chelsea in the upcoming summer window, and their moves may also include selling at least one of their most prominent players to fund the forward’s signing.
The Rossoneri signed the Portuguese star on loan on deadline day during the winter transfer window, but the immediate chemistry between the player and the club, both on and off the pitch, has prompted Milan to consider ways to keep the 25-year-old at the San Siro beyond next summer.

The Diavolo is aware that Chelsea’s €52m investment last summer is likely to complicate negotiations and keep the Blues’ demands high, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, their first move would be extending Joao Felix’s loan by one more season with a new deal that also includes an obligation to buy set around €40m.
This would give Milan time to secure the funds needed to complete the striker’s signing from the Premier League giants, a process that would become easier if they decided to sell either Theo Hernandez or Rafael Leao.

The pink newspaper explains that both players are currently under scrutiny at the club for their performances, with the France international also involved in lengthy contract extension talks, although little progress has been made in recent months.
The Rossoneri would be open to letting them go if profitable deals arise, knowing it would help them gather the financial resources to bring in Félix, the club’s current priority, along with other reinforcements for the San Siro.
