Reports in Italy suggest that Milan’s senior management team all see eye-to-eye on the team’s next head coach, agreeing with prospective sporting director Igli Tare that Massimiliano Allegri is the ideal candidate to take over from Sergio Conceicao for 2025-26.
Milan are waiting to appoint a new sporting director, and then a new head coach to take over from Conceicao for the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
After assessing the likes of Fabio Paratici, Tony D’Amico, Giovanni Manna and Giovanni Sartori, Milan now look set to appoint Tare, following a lengthy meeting between the former Lazio executive and Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani on Tuesday.
Reports earlier in April suggest that Allegri is Tare’s first-choice head coach.

Now, according to reports from Calciomercato.com, the majority of Milan’s directors agree. Allegri is also now the first-choice for owner Gerry Cardinale and technical director Geoffrey Moncada.
And, given that Tare was Ibrahimovic’s first choice, and that Allegri is Tare’s first choice, it is safe to assume that the Swede will not object to that decision, either.
