The French journalist said on X, formerly Twitter that Milan are among the clubs ‘seriously’ interested in the experienced right-back.

The Rossoneri signed Emerson Royal from Tottenham last summer, while their captain, Davide Calabria, is expected to leave in June at the end of his contract.

Walker was not part of the Manchester City squad that beat Salford City in the FA Cup third round today, and Guardiola said after the match that the defender had asked to leave.

“Two days ago, Kayle asked to explore the options to play abroad at the end of his career,” said Guardiola.

“He asked the same two years ago. I think Bayern wanted him, but the offer wasn’t good enough.

“He would like to go to another country to play the last years [of his career] for many reasons. For this reason, I preferred to play other players.”

Walker, 34, has made 18 appearances across all competitions this season, collecting 1159 minutes of football.

It is unclear whether Milan have already opened talks with the experienced defender or Manchester City.

On the other hand, the Rossoneri are negotiating with the other Manchester club, United, for their striker Marcus Rashford.
