According to reports, Milan will not formally announce Max Allegri as their new coach yet, because they haven’t told Sergio Conceicao that he is fired.
Allegri was filmed leaving a meeting this evening with Rossoneri President Paolo Scaroni, director of sport Igli Tare and CEO Giorgio Furlani.
It was at the headquarters of his agent, Giovanni Branchini, and the coach was literally carrying a signed contract in his hand when getting to his car to depart the office.
This is believed to be a two-year deal with option for a third, worth circa €5m per season plus bonuses.

Despite all of that, Milan are not expected to make a formal announcement today.
According to MilanNews.it, this is because the club has not actually told current coach Sergio Conceicao that he will be dismissed.
The 50-year-old was only appointed on December 30 after his predecessor Paulo Fonseca was sacked, less than six months into the season.
Conceicao won the Supercoppa Italiana, reached the Coppa Italia Final and overall had 16 victories, five draws and 10 defeats on the Rossoneri bench.

Although the contract he signed runs to June 2026, it was reported from the very start that this included a clause allowing Milan to terminate it in June 2025 without paying any extra wages.
This situation does rather reflect that of Conceicao, because Fonseca was famously informed by reporters outside San Siro that he had been sacked, before Milan directors had told him.
