Mohamed Salah has admitted there is a different feel about this season's Premier League title race after the Reds moved seven points clear at the top of the standings.
Liverpool beat Leicester City 3-1 on Thursday to further increase their lead at the summit after second-placed Chelsea were stunned by Fulham. Arne Slot's side have also played one game fewer than their rivals.
Salah netted Liverpool's third goal late on. It was the third time in his Liverpool career that he has either scored or assisted in ten consecutive games - a feat no other Premier League player has ever managed more than once.
The strike was also Salah's 100th home goal across his Premier League career. After bagging two at Stamford Bridge during his time at Chelsea, the Egyptian now sits on 98 at Anfield and is waiting to break a century at the home of the Reds. Only seven other players have ever netted 100 home goals in league history.
"The most important thing is the team winning - hopefully we win the Premier League," he told Amazon Prime after the game. "It is great, but we focus on each game and hopefully we carry on like that.
"[This year] it feels different, but the most important thing is we need to stay humble. This one is very special, hopefully we win the Premier League and for this club, it is something I dream of."
Whether it will be Salah's final season with Liverpool remains to be seen. The 32-year-old is approaching the final six months of his contract and recently admitted he had no updates when asked about his future.
