Serie A giants Napoli have made key progress in a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi but the player still needs some convincing to join.
Il Mattino, as relayed by CN24, have reported that the two clubs are now in agreement for the player, who is in pole position to replace Khvicha Kvaratkshelia. The German is yet to be convinced about the Partenopei as a destination and Napoli are also yet to meet his current salary demands.
Antonio Conte’s side are willing to pay between €45 million to €50 million for the player and that is enough for Dortmund. The player continues to express doubts about the move, with his agents asking for five-year deal. As of now, the Serie A league leaders are not willing to go beyond €4.5 million per season in their offer of a contract to the player.
The situation will evolve, with Conte having already spoken to Adeyemi.
