However, Tutto Mercato now report that “in June the operation could be done on a different basis, compared to the 60 million requested in January by Manchester United. Yet, €45 million is not an insignificant offer, especially for a squad undergoing transition. If Garnacho is not guaranteed to be a cornerstone under new management or structure, selling to reinvest elsewhere might make strategic sense.

Napoli under Conte could be a smart move for the player too. Serie A is a tactically rich environment, and Conte has a proven record of developing wide players. If United aren’t offering him a prominent role, fans would understand his motivation to seek regular minutes elsewhere – even if it stings to see his talent flourish abroad.
