Napoli Risk Losing Two Midfield Staples in the Summer

Frank Anguissa isn’t the only Napoli mainstay who might be on his way out in the summer, as Stanislav Lobotka is mulling leaving the team as well after a long spell in Campania, Tuttomercatoweb informs.
It could also be a financial decision by the team. The ‘regista’ is 30, and next summer will be the final opportunity to cash in on him. He has been linked to Barcelona a few times in the past. PSG and Manchester United have also taken an interest.
Napoli value Lobotka at about €40M, but his price tag could decrease during the negotiation. He makes €3.5M annually and is under contract until 2027 with a team option. The brass could seize the opportunity to get younger and cheaper salary-wise.
He recently commented on his turn with the Partenopei to Radio CRC (via Gianluca Di Marzio).
“I feel the responsibility because I’ve been here for more than five years. I work every day to help the side and try be a leader. We are a really good team, on and off the pitch, and that’s very important to me. We have a great opportunity, and we just have to forge ahead. Even when we’re not playing well collectively, we know we can count on each other.”
Perhaps Antonio Conte’s uneasiness also comes from the fact that he senses that the summer window will be busier and more complicated than expected due to surprising exits. While it could make some sense economically if they get a really good offer, the technical loss would be massive. Plus, the specialists in his role usually have long careers and age like fine wine.
