Torino-Roma marked a special milestone for Evan Ndicka who continues to be a rock in Roma’s defense.

The Ivorian defender, in fact, is the only Roma player who, since 2004 (when the Italian championship went from 18 to 20 teams), has taken part in every match of a single tournament (Serie A 2024-25), starting from the beginning and without ever being substitute, writes ForzaRoma.info.

Of the 250 Giallorossi players used in the last 21 years, the former Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back – goalkeepers excluded – is the only one to have played the 3,420 minutes available this season.

The only one to come close to the defender’s numbers is Rodrigo Taddei in 2005-06: the Brazilian played 38 out of 38 from the start, 18 of which he finished up until the final whistle. Tammy Abraham also has the same number of matches in 2022-23, 24 of which as a starter.

Extending the statistics to the Coppa Italia and the Europa League, furthermore, Ndicka missed only one of the 14 matches played in the aforementioned competitions, due to fever against Union Saint-Gilloise.
