Semenyo has managed to get nine goals and five assists in 27 this season so far. He is averaging 3.4 shots, 1.1 key passes, and 2.1 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Ghana international is both footed, allowing the manager to use him on either flank. He likes to take on the defenders and make good runs. He has good dribbling and finishing skills apart from his aerial presence around the penalty box.
Newcastle United continue to build a long-term winning sporting project. They are looking to strengthen their offensive line to compete for the titles in a better way. Hence, they have scouted Antoine Semenyo as a potential target for the summer.
Semenyo recently signed a new contract at Bournemouth, which means the Magpies will have to offer a lucrative deal to get the player’s signature. Only a good offer won’t be enough as they need to earn a Champions League berth for next season too.
As multiple clubs are tracking the 25-year-old, not playing in the Champions League can hurt Newcastle United chances. Moreover, players like Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes are waiting to evaluate whether they will be able to play in the European competition or not. If not, these two can leave the club in the summer for better opportunities.
