Official | Juma Bah joins Lens on loan from Manchester City

Manchester City have confirmed the departure of Juma Bah (18) on loan to RC Lens for the remainder of the season. The six-month loan will see the defender help Lens fill the hole left by the sale of Abdukodir Khusanov (20) to Manchester City.

Lens had been in the market for a centre-back during the current transfer window when it became clear that Khusanov was leaving. The French club had looked at a number of options for this role, however, reportedly their efforts were hampered by their current financial situation.

A burgeoning relationship with Manchester City has provided Lens with an immediate fix for the departure of the Uzbekistan international. Bah has quickly risen to prominence this season with Real Valladolid and was snapped up by the reigning Premier League champions. His short-term development will now be in Ligue 1.
