Manchester United have revealed their starting lineup for the FA Cup third-round clash against Arsenal which will kick off at 15:00 UK time.
This will be the second time the two rivals meet at the Emirates Stadium this season, with the Gunners prevailing by two unanswered goals in a midweek Premier League contest back in December when they managed to pounce on the Red Devils’ disastrous set-piece defending.
Nevertheless, Ruben Amorim will be hoping his men fare better this time around, especially following last week’s encouraging display at Anfield Road. United halted Liverpool’s great momentum by registering a 2-2 draw in a thrilling back-and-forth affair which they could have won.
Earlier in the week, the Portuguese manager confirmed Altay Bayindir will get the nod between the sticks, thus dropping Andre Onana to the bench. This will be the Turk’s first appearance since his disappointing outing against Spurs in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

On the other hand, Amorim opted to maintain his best available lineup. This means Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez will start at the back, with Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot on the flanks.
In the middle of the park, Kobbie Mainoo will connect with Manuel Ugarte, while club captain Bruno Fernandes starts in a more advanced position alongside Alejandro Garnacho who comes it for Amad Diallo. Rasmus Hojlund will be leading the charge as usual.
The visitors will be without the injured Johnny Evans, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount, while Marcus Rashford was left at home as he has seemingly failed to return to Amorim’s good graces.
Man United XI (3-4-2-1): Bayindir; De Ligt, Maguire, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot; Diallo, Fernandes; Hojlund.
