The XI of players trusted by the Real Madrid coaching staff to get the better of Atlético has this evening been unveiled online.

And it features, as expected, a number of changes to the side which dispatched of Leganés in the Copa del Rey during the week.

The headline fixture of the La Liga weekend is of course set to play out in short order.

As much will see Real Madrid act as hosts, in the latest edition of the Madrid Derby.

The matchup marks an absolutely crucial one in the race for the title in Spain’s top-flight, with Saturday’s hosts sitting atop the table at present, albeit just a solitary point clear of Atlético.

A victory over their city rivals, in turn, could prove a significant one when it comes to Real Madrid’s hopes of retaining their La Liga title.

And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, the group of players set to be entrusted with as much by Carlo Ancelotti and co. was unveiled.
