Iconic England midfielder David Beckham will forever go down as one of the Premier League greats for Manchester United.
As part of the famous class of '92, Beckham was part of a core group under Sir Alex Ferguson that propelled the Red Devils to the top of the English footballing pyramid for years, but an ultimate departure from the club will forever sting in those parts.
After first leaving for Real Madrid, Beckham ultimately would also go on to feature for Milan, PSG, and LA Galaxy. But an emotional return with the Rossoneri 15 years ago today proved just how important the London native remained to club supporters.
Beckham would come off the bench to replace Ignazio Abate in the 64th minute, with United already 3-0 up before going on to score a fourth through Darren Fletcher.
But a standing ovation highlighted what was otherwise a warm reception at the Theatre of Dreams even if he could not instrument a stunning comeback against his former employers.
Forever a legend.
