One football news outlet has named the six players that Enzo Maresca is looking at to bolster his current squad during the summer transfer window.
The Blues have been in a bit of a rut since Christmas time after what was actually a very good start to this season. They played much better in their last game though, beating Southampton with ease.
The Blues won the game 4-0 in what was a much needed convincing performance, with goals coming from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella.
The Saints were a very poor opposition of course, but Chelsea really needed a big win and a big performance, and that is exactly what they did last night right in the nick of time as they look to keep challenging for that all important Champions League spot.
Neto was superb playing as the number 9 and as well as getting his goal, he has explained why he loves playing as a striker with a hilarious answer!
And now, they will be looking to build on that and strengthen the squad come the end of the season.
Estevao Willian scores for Palmeiras again.
Football London are reporting that regardless of whether the Blues secure qualification to the Champions League, Maresca will be eager to strengthen his squad in the summer.
The outlet goes on to say that Chelsea already have significant firepower on the way. At the end of the season, Maresca can add at least six new first-team players to his roster as part of a much-needed rebuild: Estêvão Willian, Kendry Páez, Andrey Santos, Djordje Petrovic, Renato Veiga and Lesley Ugochukwu.
It will be interesting to see which players come in and get a squad place or not.
