Pavlovic explains why Milan hiring Conceicao has turned his season around | OneFootball

Ahead of the game between Milan and Torino, Strahinja Pavlovic spoke to the media and stated that three points are a must. He also discussed the defensive approach since Sergio Conceicao took over the team.

Lazio and Bologna both dropped points earlier today, drawing and losing respectively, so Milan really need to capitalise on that against Torino. However, they aren’t exactly flying high after the Champions League exit, so how they will respond is uncertain.

Pavlovic, who has been one of the Rossoneri’s best players lately, spoke to DAZN (via MilanNews) ahead of the game and explained that this is a chance to turn the page. He also discussed the defensive difference between Conceicao and Paulo Fonseca.

How can you transform the anger of the Champions League exit?

“We were disappointed after Feyenoord, it wasn’t easy but football is like that. We immediately have a new opportunity to change things. It’s very important to take the three points today.”

What are the differences in defence between Conceicao and Fonseca?

“For me, the new coach wants more aggression, we are higher up the pitch and in many moments of the game, we can press the opponent. It’s something I did at my previous club, something I’m used to.”

Pavlovic is starting alongside Malick Thiaw tonight and it must be said that the two have been very solid together. Both had some rough periods earlier in the season but have certainly turned a corner, which hopefully can inspire some of their teammates.
