Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte has returned to training, ahead of Thursday’s crunch Europa League meeting with Real Sociedad.

Ugarte missed last week’s first-leg draw with Sociedad at San Sebastian and was also unavailable for Sunday’s clash against Arsenal.

Asked if Ugarte would be back for the return fixture vs. Sociedad, Ruben Amorim told reporters [as quoted by the club’s website], “Maybe Ugarte, I don’t know, we’ll see.”

Amorim later added, “I think Manu will return.”

Now, it has been confirmed that the Uruguayan is back in training and likely to be in contention for the contest with La Real.

Ugarte was pictured in a training session at Carrington this morning.

Meanwhile, there was no sight of defensive duo Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro.

Like Ugarte, Maguire missed the first Sociedad game and was also not in the matchday squad for the Arsenal fixture. Amorim said that United have to be “careful” with the England international.

Yoro was named in the starting XI that faced Arsenal but could only manage to play the opening 45 minutes before he was withdrawn at the interval.

He was replaced by January signing Ayden Heaven, who filled in adequately and produced a sensational performance to help the Red Devils clinch a valuable point.

Yoro’s absence from training could suggest he is not fit enough to play a part against Sociedad, so there’s a good chance Heaven be afforded his first start for the club.

Earlier today, a report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Mount is returning to training and true enough, he was pictured in Wednesday’s session.

It’s understood that the meeting with Imanol Alguacil’s men may be too soon for Mount, despite Amorim being desperate to use him.

United vs. Sociedad kicks off at 20:00 GMT.
