Contrary to a report that emerged yesterday, the Curva Sud will sing as usual during the Derby Della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter tomorrow. According to a report, there will be no silent protest.

SportMediaset reported yesterday afternoon that Curva Sid, Milan’s Ultras, were planning on carrying out a silent protest during the game against Inter tomorrow. In other words, remaining completely silent for the game with no chants or singing.

Fortunately, as reported by Stefano Bressi and PianetaMilan today, this will not be the case as Curva Sud will support the team as usual. Given that it is the designated home derby, it would certainly have been strange to hear the Inter fans more.

Furthermore, following the disappointment in the Champions League mid-week, a confidence boost is needed and a win against Inter could certainly take care of that. It will be very difficult without the fans, though, so hopefully the report is true.

Santiago Gimenez will also be present for the game, per various outlets, so it would be good to have a great atmosphere for his first clash as a Milan player at San Siro (even if he will be in the stands).
