So I have had a look at all 20 Premier League clubs this season…

We are now six and a half months into the 2024/25 season, this is how many matches each Premier League team has won (and lost), in Premier League AND domestic cup competitions (as of the morning of 28 February 2025):

25 and 3 Liverpool

21 and 9 Newcastle United

17 and 9 Man City

16 and 8 Forest

15 and 7 Brighton

15 and 9 Chelsea

15 and 16 Tottenham

14 and 8 Fulham

14 and 9 Bournemouth

14 and 9 Villa

14 and 10 Palace

14 and 13 Brentford

13 and 13 Man U

10 and 14 West Ham

9 and 11 Everton

9 and 18 Wolves

7 and 20 Leicester

6 and 24 Southampton

5 and 17 Ipswich

As you can see above, when it comes to domestic competitions this season, Newcastle United are by some distance, second most successful, when it comes to winning football matches.

Only Liverpool have won more domestic matches this season than Eddie Howe’s side, four more than NUFC as things currently stand.

Newcastle United three more wins than Arsenal, who are third best when it comes to Premier League teams winning football matches so far this season.

Then it is Newcastle with four more than Man City, five more wins than Forest.

Six more than Tottenham, Chelsea and Brighton.

Then seven more than Villa, Fulham, Palacee, Brentford and Bournemouth, even more wins than that compared to the rest.

The last four months and twenty four United matches (all competitions), have seen sixteen wins, two draws and only the six defeats since late October. To win almost three times as many matches as you lose over a four month period. Outstanding.
