Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping a close eye on River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono as a potential summer signing, but they are far from the only club interested. Several top European sides are also in the mix.

According to a recent report from Diario AS, an “auction” could break out for the highly rated Argentine, with Manchester United and Chelsea among the clubs showing strong interest. The 17-year-old playmaker has a €45 million release clause in his contract.

Real Madrid are said to be monitoring Mastantuono as well, though no formal offer has been made yet. He is under contract with River Plate until 2026 and will become eligible to move to Europe after turning 18 in August, following his participation in the Club World Cup.

Transfer expert Cesar Luis Merlo previously reported that Manchester United have shown the most serious interest so far. The club have been closely tracking Mastantuono, even attending games in person, and are fully aware that triggering his €45 million clause would be necessary to secure a deal.

TyC Sports’ Germán García Grova reports that PSG have opened talks to sign Franco Mastantuono, making him a priority target. The French club joins a growing list of teams that have already made inquiries about the young Argentine.

Mastantuono fits the profile PSG are targeting — young, full of potential, and ready to grow. Under Luis Enrique, Paris have not hesitated to give teenagers prominent roles, as seen with João Neves and Désiré Doué this season.
