Renato Veiga is the subject of interest from Italian giants Juventus ahead of a potential move to Serie A in January according to reports.
The Blues are expected to be quiet this month with their focus very much on outgoings as they look to find solutions for the likes of Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Chelsea’s plans could change given injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana, although they have recalled Aaron Anselmino from his loan at Boca Juniors.
However, another player is attracting interest and that’s Veiga, despite the 21-year-old only joining the Blues in the summer.
Chelsea paid Swiss side FC Basel £12m for Veiga, who was primarily signed as back-up to Marc Cucurella at left back, but can also play at centre back and in midfield.

Veiga has become a Portugal international since joining Chelsea and has endeared himself to the fans, although his minutes have been few and far between in recent weeks.
The Portuguese has started just one Premier League game and hasn’t featured in the last five league games, whilst he was dropped from the squad completely for the Boxing Day defeat to Fulham for a lack of effort in training.
Veiga has fared better in the Conference where he’s started all six games and scored twice, but that hasn’t stopped him being linked with a possible move to Napoli this month.
However, it’s not just Napoli who are interested , Italian outlet Calciomercato have reported Juventus are also interested, with Chelsea said to be ok with a loan deal, whilst the report even claims Veiga has been offered to Thiago Motta’s side.

Whether anything comes of the reported interested remains to be seen, but it’s clear Veiga has suitors, but given Chelsea’s injury issues defensively Veiga’s importance to the squad has increased.
It’s unclear what the Blues would do if any offers came in, but Veiga isn’t playing regularly at the moment and the opportunity to do that would be of benefit.
