Readers react as Osimhen reportedly snubs Man United transfer | OneFootball

Victor Osimhen has reportedly snubbed a move to Manchester United this month, and most Football Italia readers feel the Nigeria international is ‘wise’ to remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season.

The latest report from La Repubblica newspaper suggested that Osimhen had turned down the chance to move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window.

The 2022-23 Serie A leading scorer is currently on loan at Galatasaray, and his Napoli contract expires in June 2026, with an option for a further campaign.

The striker’s release clause will drop to €75m in the summer if he fails to complete a permanent move this month, so his decision to remain in Turkey until the end of the season reportedly infuriated Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentiis.

Osimhen has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 16 appearances across all competitions this season, and most Football Italia readers feel the 26-year-old is wise to snub a January move to Manchester United to stay at Galatasaray until June.
