Real Betis and FC Barcelona have been locked in negotiations throughout Thursday, discussing the terms of an agreement that would allow Vitor Roque to terminate his loan with the Andalusian club and complete a permanent transfer to Palmeiras.

The Brazilian club would pay €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons to Barcelona for the forward.

Earlier reports suggested that Betis and Barça had reached a preliminary agreement over the terms to break the striker’s loan agreement but the negotiations are still ongoing.

Real Betis make Pau Victor demand

Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that In addition to receiving a larger share of Ez Abde’s transfer rights, Real Betis are also asking Barcelona for a loan deal with a purchase option for Pau Victor.

Barça sold Abde to Real Betis in the summer of 2023 but retained 50% of the winger’s economic rights, of which they are now to relinquish 30% more to the Andalusian club.

Beyond that, though, Real Betis are now seeking an option for them to be able to sign Pau Victor on loan with a buy clause in the summer.

It must be remembered that the Verdiblancos had already attempted to sign the 23-year-old Barcelona striker during the winter transfer window.

The forward has made 21 appearances for Barcelona this season, after joining permanently from Girona in the summer, registering two goals and one assist in just 259 minutes of play.

The Spaniard has been barely used by manager Hansi Flick in recent weeks, with him being behind Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Dani Olmo in the pecking order.

As such, Real Betis’ sporting management is particularly keen on Victor and is pushing to include him in the deal to release Roque, whose loan contract at the Seville-based club runs until June 30.

With the Brazilian transfer window closing this Friday, both clubs are racing against time to reach a final agreement.
