As reported by Diario AS, Real Madrid have been outmaneuvered by Barcelona in securing the signature of the promising 21-year-old striker, Alan Godoy from Eldense.

Godoy, who was close to joining Real Madrid’s Castilla team, will instead reinforce Barcelona’s reserve side, Barça Atlètic, which is currently struggling in the relegation zone of Primera RFEF’s Group 1.

Godoy’s potential move to Real Madrid had been on the cards since last summer, with the club showing keen interest in bolstering Raul’s squad.

However, the operation, which seemed nearly finalized this winter, was inexplicably halted by Valdebebas, allowing Barcelona to swoop in and capitalize on the situation.

The young striker’s journey this season has been one of high expectations; after joining Eldense from Alaves on a three-year deal, his previous loan spells at Mirandes and Nastic had already made him a notable name in the Spanish youth football scene.

His performance during Nastic’s promotion playoffs last season, where he scored three crucial goals, significantly raised his market value.
