Things seem to be picking up for Real Madrid in their pursuit of Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 26-year-old defender is a priority target for Los Blancos for the summer of next year, when he will become a free agent.

And, as per reports earlier this week, the defender has made those around him at Liverpool aware that he is willing to make the jump.

Real Madrid growing increasingly convinced about Alexander-Arnold’s signing

Building on that, the Daily Mail reports that Real Madrid are growingly increasingly confident about signing Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer in the summer.

Even though sources close to Liverpool insist that the player has not reached any agreement with any club, Los Blancos believe that they will succeed in their pursuit of the Englishman.

Sources from Spain suggest that Alexander-Arnold is ready to take a new challenge in his professional career under the management of Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu.

On the other hand, Liverpool will continue to strive hard to convince Alexander-Arnold to sign a new contract and prolong his stay at Anfield.

The Reds are at the risk of losing their vice-captain, with a market value of €75 million, for a free transfer unless they decide to sell him in January – a prospect that is extremely unlikely.

Alexander-Arnold has been at Liverpool since the age of six years old and has gone on to make over 330 appearances for his boyhood club.

But, as things stand, the confidence at Real Madrid is high that the 26-year-old will bid goodbye to Anfield at the end of the season and move to Spain.
