Real Madrid make first contact over deal for Atalanta star | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have kickstarted contacts with their counterparts at Atalanta, over a potential deal for Éderson.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.

Real, it is widely understood, are on the lookout for reinforcements at the base of midfield with a view to next season.

As much comes amid the consensus that Toni Kroos’ departure has still not been properly accounted for.

A shortlist of options has in turn been drawn up by Florentino Pérez and co, with Real Sociedad standout Martín Zubimendi at the very top.

Should a deal for the Spanish international not be possible, however, Los Blancos will be forced to seek out alternative arrangements.

And this is where the aforementioned Éderson enters the fray.

As per a report from AS, after being left thoroughly impressed by the Brazilian’s showing during the Champions League meeting between sides last month:

‘Real Madrid have started the first informal contacts with Atalanta to find out the situation of the pivot.’

This comes with a view to a potential summer offer for Éderson’s signature.
