Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti made his Scudetto predictions, backing Inter Milan and Napoli to fight for it until the end.
Guest in the latest episode of PoretCast, Ancelotti snubbed Atalanta and Juventus as potential Serie A title contenders via FCInterNews.
It’s shaping up to be one of the most enthralling title races in recent Serie A memory.
With only a point separating Inter and Napoli, this season’s battle for the Scudetto will go down to the wire.
Furthermore, Atalanta could still upset the apple cart and take home their maiden Serie A title.
Indeed, Gian Piero Gasperini’s charges trail table-topping Inter by a single point.
Meanwhile, Juventus’ domestic resurgence has rekindled their title ambitions, moving them within six points from Inter.
However, Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t see Atalanta and Juventus as genuine contenders. Ancelotti doesn’t believe in Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Instead, Ancelotti backs his “Real Madrid or Liverpool” to win the Champions League.
When asked who will win the most coveted trophy in Italian football, Ancelotti replied: “Napoli or Inter.”
Yet, the former AC Milan boss refused to include the Nerazzurri as viable candidates for Champions League glory.

Instead, he claimed ‘Real Madrid or Liverpool’ would likely climb to the podium.
Moreover, he discussed the progress of Como’s rising star, Nico Paz.
“He’s doing very well,” he said.
Asked whether Real Madrid would let the Argentine join Inter, he responded: “They already have a great team.”
Paz has emerged as Inter’s top target for the summer transfer window.
However, Los Merengues could spoil their plans, as they have an affordable buyout option.
Meanwhile, Marcus Thuram continues to impress at the San Siro.
His brother, Khephren, is making strides at Juventus, while Ancelotti coached their father, Lilian, at Parma.
“I remember seeing Marcus as a child – he was born in Parma when I was coaching his father, Lilian.
“Now I see he has turned into a powerhouse. His brother is also very good, but their father was the best.”
