La Liga giants Real Madrid are expected to have a new headline signing at their disposal for next summer’s Club World Cup.

That’s according to Onda Cero, who highlight Trent Alexander-Arnold as the player in question.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course dominated the headlines in Spain over the course of the last 48 hours.

This comes amid mounting reports that the England international has made the decision to join Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold is due to see his Liverpool contract expire in the summer of 2025, with Los Blancos therefore working to entice the right-back to the Santiago Bernabéu on a free transfer.

And, if the latest word to have surfaced on Monday is anything to go by, then such efforts on the part of Florentino Pérez and co. look set to bear imminent fruit.

As per a report from journalist Alberto Pereiro of Spanish outlet Onda Cero:
