Real Madrid produced the sort of dramatic comeback we've come to expect from them in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Los Blancos were in dire straits during the first half of their clash with Borussia Dortmund, conceding to extremely avoidable goals scored by Donyell Malen and Jamie Gittens, and coming close to conceding a third too, with Thibaut Courtois coming to the rescue to deny Julian Brandt.

Who else?

Vinicius Junior proved why he's the favourite to win the Ballon d'Or next week with a simply sublime performance on Tuesday evening.

In the final 30 minutes of the game, the Brazilian megastar went super saiyan, netting the goal that made it 2-2 before scoring two outrageous solo efforts - one of which was scored after an 80-yard run with the ball.

Surely he wins the Ballon d'Or, right?

Honourable mention

Kylian Mbappe: 7/10

After social media lambasted him for his performance in the first half of the game, Mbappe came out with a real fire in his belly in the second.

He didn't score, sure, but he was a constant offensive threat for Madrid and was a key reason why they were able to pin Dortmund back into the own defensive third for large period.

The French star also set up Madrid's first goal with a sumptuous dinked cross onto the head of Antonio Rudiger. Nice one.

Real Madrid's worst player vs Borussia Dortmund

Ferland Mendy: 4/10

To say the very least, Ferland Mendy was all at sea for both of Borussia Dortmund's goals in the first half.

The full-back allowed Donyell Malen to race through unmarked to score the first, and then didn't close the Dutch international down well enough to prevent his cross for the second.

It's easy to see why Madrid have been so heavily linked with a move for Alphonso Davies...
