Record breaking Harry Kane becomes the fastest player to reach 100 goal contributions for Bayern Munich | OneFootball

Harry Kane gave Bayern Munich a 2-1 lead against Augsburg on Saturday with his 23rd Bundesliga goal of the season, but what’s more impressive is that the Englishman has again broken another record.

Per kicker, the 31-year-old has now reached 100 goal contributions for Bayern Munich in just 75 games, becoming the quickest player to achieve such a milestone for the Rekordmeister since 1990.

Surpassing Robert Lewandowski (109 games), Roy Makaay (119), Mario Gomez (126) and Giovane Elber (137), Kane has secured his place in Bayern’s history. Given that England’s leading goalscorer achieved such a feat in 34 games less than Lewandowski, it’s a record that Kane was always going to achieve, it was more so just a matter of when.

It comes after Kane suffered somewhat of a Bundesliga goalscoring drought – a run of five games without a goal until he opened the scoring against St. Pauli. With goals in successive games, the Englishman is finding his scoring boots again ahead of Bayern’s UEFA Champions League clash against Inter.

In November, Kane scored his fourth hat-trick of the season as Bayern Munich ran out 3-0 winners against Augsburg, and the Englishman became the quickest player to reach 50 goals in the Bundesliga, beating Erling Haaland’s record. It took Kane just 43 games to reach 50 Bundesliga goals, beating Haaland’s record of 50 goals in 50 games.
