Chelsea are one of three Premier League clubs who’ve expressed an interest in Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick according to reports.

The Blues are once again set for a busy summer with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to improve Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Chelsea face a critical window and could look to fund their business by selling as many as seven or eight stars, with a number of players surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea interested in Leverkusen striker Schick

The main priority in the upcoming window is a striker, and the Blues have paid the price for not signing an alternative to Nicolas Jackson both last summer and in January.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with Liam Delap, who’s available for £30m after Ipswich’s relegation was confirmed.

Delap appears to be Chelsea’s main target, but Caught Offside have reported the Blues are interested in Leverkusen’s Schick.

The reports states Chelsea, along with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal are closely monitoring Schick’s situation.

Caught Offside add Leverkusen would likely listen to offers of between €30-€40m for the 29-year-old who’s under contract until 2027.

Schick has had an impressed season for Xabi Alonso’s side and has scored 25 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions this campaign.

Sesko and Ekitike alternative targets

Whilst Schick’s Leverkusen future could be in doubt the Blues are believed to have fellow Bundesliga strikers Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike on their shortlist.

The duo have impressed for RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively this season, although Chelsea don’t have the best record when it comes to recruiting forwards from the Bundesliga.

Fans would love to see Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres signed, but it appears unlikely as things stand that either striker will be at Stamford Bridge next season.

Whoever Chelsea end up signing it’s vital they make the right decision, because if they get it wrong it could really set the Blues back next season.
