Inter Milan ace Davide Frattesi has reportedly grown tired of being overlooked by Simone Inzaghi.
According to Calciomercato via FCInter1908, the Italy international is considering leaving the Nerazzurri after two years.
Frattesi has only made four Serie A starts this season.
Indeed, he’s been Nicolo Barella’s understudy for most of the campaign despite his well-documented off-the-bench contribution.
However, the 25-year-old is no longer willing to play second fiddle to any.
As a result, he’s reportedly eager to depart Giuseppe Meazza as early as January.
But a winter departure looks highly unlikely.
Inter pipped Roma to Frattesi’s signature in the summer of 2023.
Despite losing the race, the Giallorossi have never lost interest in their homegrown star.
Therefore, they could re-establish contact with the player’s camp.
However, Claudio Ranieri’s side will likely have to wait until the summer to step up their pursuit of the Italian star.
Frattesi has apparently instructed his entourage to find him a new club already in January.
With Inter unwilling to sanction his exit midway through the season, he’ll probably stay until June.
In the meantime, Simone Inzaghi could try to change his mind by handing him more first-team opportunities.
