Report: Roma not giving up on Davide Frattesi | OneFootball

Contrary to rumors, Roma have not stopped monitoring the situation of Davide Frattesi, who considered the main objective to strengthen the midfield in January.

However, to close the deal, several favorable combinations are needed, starting with the crucial point of the valuation of the player’s contract.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter have set a non-negotiable price: 45 million euros in cash. A significant figure, which at the moment represents an obstacle for Roma, considering their spending limits.

Frattesi’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, is working as a mediator in the deal, but Roma’s sporting director, Florent Ghisolfi, will hardly be able to reach that figure without outgoing operations.

Another key element is represented by sales, which could free up salary space and economic resources for the operation.

Le Fée is already on his way out, but it might not be enough: to finance Frattesi’s arrival, Roma could evaluate the departure of another midfielder.

Lorenzo Pellegrini, after returning to the starting lineup for three consecutive games, is regaining confidence and hierarchy within the team, making his transfer less likely.

At the same time, Bryan Cristante, currently out due to injury, could be an interesting pawn for Inter, but only under financial conditions that are advantageous for both parties.

Finally, the time factor further complicates the situation. Inter, in fact, do not intend to let go of Frattesi before January 29, the date of the last match of the Champions League group. Simone Inzaghi considers the midfielder a key element until the end of the first phase of the European competition and could not replace him in the list until the start of the next phase.

This time constraint leaves little room for maneuver for Roma, who will have to find a quick solution to unblock the deal.

Despite the obstacles, the Giallorossi management continues to follow the situation closely, aware of Frattesi’s technical value and his potential impact on the team.

The operation, however, appears increasingly complex, barring any sudden developments in the final days of the market.
